Plans and usage

How OpenV2 plans work: Free, Pro and Max, what counts as usage, the 5-hour and weekly limits, and how to manage your subscription.

OpenV2 plans include usage. Instead of buying and spending credits, you see how much of your included usage is left, and when it resets. Pro is $25/month and Max is $129/month; see the Pricing page.

What counts as usage

Usage follows the real work OpenV2 does for you:

CountsDoes not count
Messages that build: code, images, the app icon, backend setupPlain conversation: questions, advice, brainstorming
Native buildsReading your project
The simulator, while it is runningInstalling on a phone with Companion (it adds no cloud work unless a build runs)
Assets you generate: images, video, audio
Voice conversations

A longer, harder task uses more than a short edit. Power shows an estimated rate for each level.

The limits

Pro and Max have two limits that apply at the same time:

  • 5-hour window: a short-term limit that frees up as the window resets.
  • Weekly: a limit for each week of your billing period.

There is no monthly limit. One piece of work counts in both windows, never twice. Your meter shows the percentage left in the tightest one. Free has a single trial that never resets.

OpenV2 shows percentages and reset times, not amounts.

When you reach a limit

Building and the simulator pause, and you see a message such as "Usage limit reached. Your weekly limit resets in 3d 11h." The conversation keeps working: you can still ask questions and plan, but the agent will not build until the limit resets. Upgrade to continue sooner. On Free, the message says your trial is used up.

Where to see your usage

  • The usage meter in the profile menu shows the percentage left and when it resets.
  • Settings → Usage shows each limit and which one is blocking you, if any.

Manage your subscription

Open Settings → Billing.

  • Upgrade: pay securely with Stripe Checkout. Moving from Pro to Max charges the price difference for the rest of the month now.
  • Downgrade: you keep your current plan until the month you paid for ends, then the lower plan starts.
  • Manage subscription: the Stripe customer portal updates your card, shows invoices and cancels.
  • Cancel: access continues until the end of the period, then your account returns to Free. Your projects stay.

Your windows follow your billing period, so a plan change does not reset them.

V2 Cloud AI

In-app AI features that your own app users call run on a separate balance. See V2 Cloud AI.

Save usage

  1. Ask questions in chat first: conversation does not count.
  2. Keep Power on Fast for everyday edits.
  3. Turn the simulator off when you are not testing.
  4. Describe a whole feature in one message, so it is built right the first time.
  5. Make small fixes yourself in the code editor.

Refunds

Payments are generally non-refundable. For billing questions, or about anything you bought before usage plans, write to [email protected].
