Chat and generation
Fix a chat that does not respond, a usage limit, an interrupted or incomplete run, and answers that miss what you asked.
The chat drives most changes. These are the most common problems.
The chat does not respond, or a request failed
- Check your internet connection and refresh the page.
- Confirm you are signed in: an expired session blocks new requests.
- If you see a rate-limit or server error, wait a minute and retry with a shorter message.
- If the platform is busy you may be put in a short queue and your message runs when it is your turn.
- Do not send a message while a run is in progress. Let it finish or press Stop.
Usage limit reached
When a limit is used up, the agent keeps answering questions but stops building until the limit resets. The message names the limit and when it resets.
- Open Settings → Usage to see each limit.
- Plans and usage explains what counts and how to save it.
- Upgrading raises your limits.
The chat shows "Working" but nothing happens
Reload the page: the run continues on the server and the chat catches up. If the status stays after pressing Stop, reload and check that the last message finished. Keep the tab in focus while a run is going, since background tabs can disconnect.
A run stopped midway or looks incomplete
- Scroll the chat: a long run shows many steps before the summary.
- If files were partly edited, check Version history and restore if needed.
- Send "Continue where you left off", or describe what is missing.
The agent misunderstood the request
- Be specific: the screen, the flow, the colors and what must not change.
- Attach a screenshot, or name an app you like, when the layout matters.
- For a large feature, list every screen, action and rule in one message.
- Raise Power for a hard task, or try Team mode so a product manager scopes it first.
- Restore a good version, then retry with a clearer prompt.
Too many files changed
- Split the request into smaller steps ("only update the home screen header").
- Edit the exact file in the code editor if you know it.
The app broke after a chat edit
- Open the logs panel and copy the error.
- Ask: "Fix this error without changing unrelated files."
- Or restore a good version.
