Deep research

Ask Clara, the Deep Researcher, for a sourced research brief on your market and competitors before you build.

Clara is the team's Deep Researcher. She researches with verifiable sources, separates evidence from inference and states the limits of what she found. Use her before you build, to see the market, the competitors and what users say.

Start a research

  • From the dashboard: open the + menu and choose Deep Researcher, then describe what you want researched.
  • In Team mode: ask for research in your message ("research the habit-tracker market") and it goes to Clara. You can also pick Clara in the team picker or write @Clara.

The three steps

  1. Plan. Clara first writes a research plan: the objective, the key questions and the sources she proposes. She does not start the research or touch your app.
  2. Your approval. Review the plan in the editor, or ask for changes. A card tells you when the plan is ready. Approve it to start.
  3. Research and brief. Clara researches and delivers a research brief with sources, findings, charts and diagrams, in a reader built for it.

The plan and the brief are saved as Markdown files in your project's docs folder, so you can read them again and the rest of the team can use them.

From research to an app

After the brief, ask Maya to turn the findings into an MVP, or tell Leo to build from it. In Team mode a new app already passes through Maya first. See Solo and Team.

Tips

  • State the decision the research should support ("Should I add a social feed?").
  • Name the competitors or the market you care about.
  • Treat the brief as a starting point: check the cited sources for decisions that matter.

Usage

Research uses your plan's usage like other work that creates files. See Plans and usage.
