OpenV2 Buddy

A floating pixel pet on the workbench that reacts while the AI builds your app.

OpenV2 Buddy is a floating pixel companion on the workbench. It shows what the assistant is doing, celebrates milestones, and adds small moments of personality while you build — without getting in the way of your chat.

Buddy appears on desktop workbench sessions. It is hidden on mobile and in viewer-only project access.

Turn Buddy on or off

Open OpenV2 Buddy settings from either place:

LocationPath
Project menuWorkbench → project menu (⋯) → Appearance → OpenV2 Buddy
Account settingsSettings → Profile → OpenV2 Buddy

Use the toggle to enable or disable Buddy for your browser. Preferences are stored locally.

Choose a pet and size

OpenV2 ships with preset companions from the Petdex gallery:

How Buddy reacts

Buddy reads workbench signals — agent busy state, tool events, preview status, chat input, and account memory — and picks an animation plus speech bubble.

While idle, Buddy may show a short line from your enabled account memories about once in four idle bubbles.

Tips

  • Buddy is cosmetic — it does not change how the AI builds your app
  • Snooze is stored in session storage; a full browser restart clears it even if five minutes have not passed
  • If you update pet artwork locally, hard-refresh the workbench so the spritesheet reloads
