Authentication
Configure sign-up and sign-in for your app users with V2 Cloud.
V2 Cloud Authentication manages your app's users. It is separate from the account you use to build on OpenV2.
Configure sign-in
Ask in chat to enable email and password sign-in, configure signup availability, and add login, signup, and profile screens.
For social sign-in, use the methods available in your project's authentication configuration. Each method needs its own client credentials and callback configuration. A sign-in method offered for your OpenV2 account is not automatically enabled in your generated app.
Check the current configuration before promising a particular social sign-in method to your users.
Native app integration
OpenV2 generates the client connection and auth screens when requested. The iOS client supports calls such as:
Test signup, login, logout, and session restoration in the native runtime and on a device.
OpenV2 account and app users
| OpenV2 account | App users | |
|---|---|---|

Access rules
Keep administrative keys and database passwords server-side. Ask OpenV2 to apply row level security so each signed-in user can access only the intended records. Disable public signup for invite-only apps.
If you need email verification or password recovery, request and test the full flow, including email delivery and the callback screen.

Sign in with Apple and App Store review
Sign in with Apple is not currently available in managed V2 Cloud authentication. Apple login in Companion is for signing device test builds; it does not add Apple login to your app.
Before publishing an iOS app with social or third-party login for its primary account, check App Review Guideline 4.8. When it applies, you must offer an equivalent login option that meets Apple's privacy requirements; Sign in with Apple is one such option. Exceptions include apps exclusively using their own account system. Do not assume a generated Apple login screen is a working integration.
If your app needs Sign in with Apple, implement and test the integration and Apple configuration separately before submission. Test the complete flow on an iPhone and check the current requirements for your app.
