RevenueCat

Add subscriptions and in-app purchases to an iOS app with RevenueCat, and follow your revenue in OpenV2.

OpenV2 works with RevenueCat to add subscriptions and in-app purchases to your iOS app, and shows your revenue metrics in the workbench.

Note: The agent adds RevenueCat purchases to iOS (SwiftUI) apps. Check this page again for Android.

Connect RevenueCat

  1. Open More → RevenueCat in the workbench (project owners can connect it).
  2. Connect your RevenueCat account and choose the RevenueCat project for this app.
  3. OpenV2 saves the project's public iOS key for the app. You never paste a key into chat.

Add a paywall

Ask the agent, or type / and choose the Subscription recipe:

text

The agent adds the RevenueCat package to the project, configures it at launch and builds the paywall from your current offerings, showing the store's own product names and prices. Premium features are unlocked by the entitlement you created in RevenueCat; the agent reads its name from your project instead of guessing it.

Create products in RevenueCat first

Products, offerings and the entitlement are defined in RevenueCat and in App Store Connect. If the agent finds no connected project or key, it stops and tells you to connect RevenueCat first.

Follow your revenue

More → RevenueCat shows metrics for the connected project, such as monthly and annual recurring revenue, active subscriptions, trial conversion and revenue charts.

Test

  • Use RevenueCat's sandbox or a store test account.
  • Test the purchase, restore purchases and the locked and unlocked states.
  • Check that the metrics appear after a test transaction.
