V2 Cloud overview

Add a managed backend for accounts, shared data, files, and server logic.

V2 Cloud is the managed backend for your app. Each configured project has its own backend connection and configuration.

When to use V2 Cloud

Apps that use only local data do not need V2 Cloud.

Add a backend

  1. In the workbench, open More → Database.
  2. Select Add database.
  3. Review and send the request inserted into chat.
  4. Wait for OpenV2 to configure the backend.
  5. Review tables and service status in Database.

The button prepares a chat request; the backend is created when OpenV2 executes the requested setup.

Change your backend

Describe the data and access rules you need in chat. OpenV2 inspects existing configuration, applies changes, and checks the result. Ask it to update app code alongside schema changes.

Connection and security

OpenV2 configures the generated app's connection to V2 Cloud. Administrative credentials stay on the server. Client configuration contains public service URLs, not database passwords.
