Version history
OpenV2 saves a version after each finished turn. Restore an earlier state if a change went wrong.
OpenV2 saves a version of your project each time the agent finishes a turn. If a change went wrong, or you want to try another direction, restore an earlier version.
How versions work
- A version is created when a turn that changed your project finishes.
- Each version captures all project files at that point and has a short name describing what changed.
- Versions appear as a Version N card at the end of the agent's reply.
Restore a version
- Find the Version card of the state you want in the chat.
- Select it and confirm Restore.
- Your project files return to that state. Continue chatting from there.
Restoring replaces the current files with the saved ones, and the app rebuilds.
What a restore does not change
Note: A restore changes your code and project files. It does not change data in your V2 Cloud database. Manage backend data separately.
Tips
- Before a big change, note which version you are on so you can come back.
- Used with Solo and Team, each member's work still ends in one version card for the turn.
- Paid plans can also download the project as a ZIP from the code editor for an offline backup.
